We found pine trees germinated from seeds under the canopy of fascines!

We have found 35 new plants of Pinus halepensis growing under the canopy of the fascines. These trees have germinated from pine nuts from pine cones that were used to build the fascines or from pine nuts that reached the plot by other ways of dispersion. The protective effect of the fascines and the improvement of the soil due to the organic amendments are considered key factors to facilitate the germination and development of the new pine trees.
