Summer soil sampling

We collect summer soil sampling. We collected soil samples from the furrows on both sides of the fascines (sunny and shady sides), from the furrows outside the influence of the fascines, and from the lower floor of the pilot plot.

New counting of the germinated plants in the sowing plots

Counting of germinated plants in the sowing plots continues. The germinated Lygeum spartum seedlings persist and remarkable growth of numerous Piptatherum miliaceum stems has been observed. Several individuals of Zygophyllum fabago have also been found in these plots.

A lot of wild vegetation appears on the plot

Many individuals of Zygophyllum fabago, Dittrichia viscosa, Salsola kali, Limonium sp and other species that were not planted or seeded in the pilot plot have appeared, indicating that soil improvement is favouring spontaneous colonization by the vegetation.
