Members of the project work team were invited to participate in the workshop “Actions for the restoration of abandoned dangerous mining sites and restoration of zones affected by mining in the area of influence of the Mar Menor”, organized by the Ministry of Ecological Transition and Demographic Challenge and the Sierra Minera Foundation in La Uni\u00f3n and Llano del Beal, on June 17 and 18, 2022. An update on the situation was made and different restoration alternatives were discussed for the areas affected by the impacts of mining activities in the Sierra de la Union-Cartagena. We had the opportunity to show the activities of the project so that it was taken into account in order to plan the actions to be carried out in the abandoned mine tailings in the Pe\u00f1a del \u00c1guila area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
