We verified that all the species had grown, but some had specific characteristics. <em>Atriplex halimus<\/em> had developed very tall stems, in some cases up to 2 meters, but much of its leaves had withered and fallen. Several feet of <em>Maytenus senegalensis<\/em> were affected by a mealybug.
